Gvantsa Chkheidze

PUBLIC DEFENDER OF CONSUMER INTERESTS (COMMUNICATIONS OMBUDSMAN)

From 2019 to the present, Gvantsa Chkheidze has served as the Public Defender of Consumer Interests. Between 2005 and 2019, she held various managerial positions at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. Since 2016, she has also been lecturing in Diplomatic, Consular, and Administrative Law. From 2007 to 2009, she served as the National Coordinator for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) project.

In 2022, Ms. Chkheidze graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law (USA) with a specialization in International Law. She also completed studies at the Diplomatic School of Estonia (2014) in International Relations and European Integration, and earned her Law degree in 2005 from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Among other achievements, she has been licensed to practice general law.
