Evrim Özgül Kazak

Head of External Relations and Competition Advocacy Department, Turkish Competition Authority

Evrim Özgül Kazak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration with a Minor in Economics from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye. She also earned a Master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.

Ms. Kazak began her career at the Turkish Competition Authority in 2005, serving as an Assistant Competition Expert until 2009. Between 2010 and 2015, she continued her work as a Competition Expert, gaining extensive experience in competition law enforcement and policy analysis. From 2016 to 2017, she was seconded to the Division of Competition at the OECD, where she contributed to international projects on competition policy and advocacy.

Upon returning to the Turkish Competition Authority, she served as a Senior Competition Expert from 2017 to 2023. In 2024, she was appointed Head of the External Relations and Competition Advocacy Department, where she currently leads the Authority’s international cooperation initiatives, public communication strategies, and advocacy efforts to promote a culture of competition in Türkiye.
