Cosmin Belacurencu

Board Member of the Romanian Competition Council

Mr. Cosmin Belacurencu is currently at his second mandate as Member of the RCC Board. He has 18 years of work experience at RCC, being promoted through the ranks, from case handler and later deputy director of the State Aid Directorate. His extensive background encompasses the development and implementation of competition law and policy as a member of the RCC decision body, staff management, and coordination of various RCC initiatives and projects.

Cosmin has lectured at numerous international and national events (OECD, ICN, World Bank, etc.), provided technical assistance, and contributed to the development of competition regimes in countries such as the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, as Project Leader for Twinning projects.

He holds a BA in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a Master’s degree in Project Management from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Faculty of Management, Bucharest.
