Prof. Christine Riefa, from the University of Reading, is an internationally recognized expert in consumer and e-commerce law, with extensive experience leading global projects. She coleads www.crossborderenforcement.com, which seeks to improve cross-border consumer protection enforcement. Her work is widely cited in international bodies like the UN, OECD, and the World Economic Forum. Prof. Riefa serves on several expert panels, including the UNCTAD’s E-Commerce Consumer Protection Group, and has advised on major cases, including Coll v Alphabet Inc. She is also a founding editor of EuCML and regularly publishes influential works, such as Consumer Theories of Harm and Vulnerable Consumers and the Law.
