Johannes Giacomuzzi is a senior case handler at the Austrian Federal Competition Authority, where his work focuses primarily on mergers and abuse cases. Johannes holds experience in both academia and practice, as he previously worked as an assistant professor at the University of Innsbruck, lecturing and researching in the field of competition law, fair trading law and consumer law. Johannes’ work at the University of Innsbruck focused on digital markets and remedy design for abuse cases. He studied law at the University of Innsbruck and holds a master’s degree in globalisation and law at the University of Maastricht, where he wrote a master’s thesis on the goals of competition law in the digital era.
