Lasha Gzirishvili
HEAD OF CONSUMER PROTECTION DEPARTMENT OF THE NATIONAL BANK OF GEORGIAMr. Gzirishvili holds a Bachelor of Arts degree of American University of Hawaii, Tbilisi Campus, in International Law and Diplomacy, and a Master’s Degree of American University for Humanities, Tbilisi Campus, in International Management. Mr. Gzirishvili has extensive experience in banking: during 2001-2010, he worked at different commercial banks in Georgia and held managerial positions in the directions of consumer service and plastic card business.
In 2011, Mr. Gzirishvili joined the National Bank of Georgia to lead the newly established Consumer Protection Division. During 2015-2017, he headed Operational Risk Management Division of one of the leading banks of Georgia. In 2017, Mr. Gzirishvili rejoined the National Bank of Georgia as a Head of Consumer Protection and Financial Education Department and currently holds a position of Head of Consumer Protection Department. He is responsible for development and implementation of financial sector consumer protection policy which includes, but is not limited to, consumer claims handling and market conduct supervision.
