Levan Kalandadze
Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency
An economist by profession, Levan Kalandadze has extensive experience working across both the public and private sectors. Since 2020, he has served as the Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency. Prior to this role, from 2018 to 2019, he held the position of Deputy Business Ombudsman of Georgia.
Between 2010 and 2012, Mr. Kalandadze led the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association as its Executive Director. Earlier in his career, he served as the Deputy Head of the Tbilisi Bureau at the State Antimonopoly Service of Georgia (2003–2004) and as the Deputy Chairman of the Tax Department of Georgia (2000–2003).
From 1997 to 2000, he was the First Deputy Head of the State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia, and from 1996 to 1997, he served as a State Advisor at the State Chancellery of Georgia.
Alongside his public service, he has been actively involved in academic and media activities. From 2014 to 2017, he lectured at the International Black Sea University (IBSU). Additionally, for a number of years, he worked as an economic analyst collaborating with the Georgian Public Broadcaster and GDS TV.
