On November 19–20, 2026, Georgia will host the 5th International Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection. The annual conference aims to further strengthen competition policy in Georgia, foster constructive dialogue on the achievements and challenges within the field, and enhance consumer protection mechanisms through the exchange of international and local best practices. In 2025, the conference brought together over 350 delegates, more than 50 local and international speakers, and in excess of 40 representatives from competition and consumer protection authorities across 18 countries. The event was further distinguished by the participation of members of the Government and Parliament of Georgia, alongside representatives of public institutions, regulatory bodies, academia, and the business sector.

2025

On 13–15 November 2025, Georgia hosted the 4th International Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection. The annual conference aims to further strengthen competition policy in Georgia, foster constructive dialogue on the achievements and challenges in the field, and enhance consumer protection mechanisms through the exchange of international and local best practices. 2024

The 3rd International Conference on Competition Policy Enforcement and Consumer Protection was held in Georgia from November 20 to 22, 2024, bringing together delegations from 15 countries. The event convened over 300 delegates and featured more than 50 distinguished international and local speakers. Representatives of national authorities, alongside participants from prominent international and regional organizations—including the International Competition Network (ICN), UNCTAD, OECD, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP), and the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUSTICE)—engaged in in-depth discussions on key developments in the areas of competition and consumer protection.

2023

From November 16th to 18th, 2023, the II International Conference on “Competition and Consumer Protection” was held in Tbilisi. The main objective of the annual conference is to strengthen competition policy in Georgia based on international and local practices, evaluating the results and challenges, and improving the mechanisms for the protection of consumer rights. More than 300 delegates, delegations from 20 countries, along with over 50 local and international experts, including the first person of the authorities working in the competition and consumer sector of 10 different countries, participated in the conference. The event was attended by heads of the government and parliament of Georgia, local and international experts, representatives of public and regulatory bodies, academia, and the business sector.

2022

The first International Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection is being held in Georgia. Protection of the principles of fair competition and the rights of consumers is a crucial factor for ensuring sustainable and inclusive economic development. The agenda of the event covers a broad range of key issues from competition policy to consumer rights protection mechanisms, and activities carried out by the regulatory agencies. The two-day event is jointly organized by the Georgian National Competition Agency, The National Bank of Georgia, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, National Communications Commission and Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia. Involvement of the public agencies, regulatory bodies, academic communities, international organizations, business sector, local and international experts and fellow agencies will further increase the synergy of participating stakeholders.
