Official Letter from Teresa Moreira, Head of the Competition and Consumer Policies Branch, to the National Competition Agency of Georgia
I would like to congratulate you on the successful II International Conference on Competition and Consumer Rights. The substantive topics discussed according to the agenda—ranging from anti-competitive agreements, competition trends, and challenges, to consumer protection, e-commerce consumer defense, and sustainable consumption—were highly timely, and the discussions were both vibrant and informative. You have brought closer the experience and cooperation of the European Union and leading developing nations with your country. Georgia will undoubtedly occupy a well-deserved place at the center of international cooperation in the fields of competition and consumer protection. I am particularly grateful for the invitation and for UNCTAD’s active representation at the conference. Thank you for your generosity and warm hospitality. Teresa Moreira participated in the opening session of the conference and chaired the UNCTAD session titled: "Key Trends and Challenges in Consumer Protection within the E-Commerce Sector.
