Elonas Šatas
Chief Adviser at the Competition Council of the Republic of LithuaniaHe holds the position of Chief Adviser at the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania. From 2011 to 2023, he served as the Deputy Chairman and actively participated in the decision-making process, represented the authority in Parliamentary committees, government meetings, and courts.
His excellent knowledge of Lithuanian and EU competition law is a result of his four years of experience as the Head of the Law and Competition Policy Division, where he was responsible for drafting competition rules and making final decisions in competition law infringement cases, as well as applying Lithuanian and EU competition rules. Additionally, he held the position of a short-term expert in EU Twinning projects in Armenia, Egypt, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kosovo. Mr. Šatas holds a Master‘s degree in Law from Mykolas Romeris University.
